bath
The building is a historic Grade 2 listed Georgian villa with sweeping views across the city of Bath.
Our clients had a very clear vision for their kitchen, having researched and visited several kitchen suppliers. They fell in love with the principle of ‘visual silence’ and timeless design and materiality of our kitchens.
The challenge was to choose a style and materials that complemented the architecture of the building.
We chose Hanami style for the main feature areas of the kitchen – the island and the cabinets along the main wall. With its Japanese inspired aesthetic and geometric lines it is contemporary yet works well with the Georgian architecture.
The tall cabinets and a separate drinks area, designed to be unobtrusive. The Fenix oro finish on the cabinets and worktop create a simple monolithic aesthetic and complement the golden hues of the Bath stone used to build the original house.
