brighton
a beautiful pied-à-terre on brighton's iconic seafront, a spectacular duplex with beautiful period features throughout and wonderfully high ceilings, creating a sense of light and space.
we aimed to enhance this light and airy feeling, choosing not to fill the space with wall cabinets. instead, we kept the walls clear, adding a thick marble shelf on which to display our client’s ceramics and personal effects. carrara marble is perfectly accompanied by a textured smoked frasino veneer.
the monolith island makes a statement in marble, with subtle veining and seamless corners bringing both impact and calm. on its working side, stone-fronted drawers sit under a flush-mounted bora cooktop with integrated extraction. the marble top extends to one side to create a breakfast bar for friends to sit and chat whilst the host gets on with cooking or making coffee.
